Small Ensemble Cello,Guitar,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790859 Composed by Traditional Andes. Arranged by Georg Mertens. Folk,Pop,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Georg Mertens #3509903. Published by Georg Mertens (A0.790859). El Condor Pasa is a traditional Andes song The Condor passes over us - if I mention it to South American friend, the Peruvian say it's theirs, the Bolivian say it's theirs etc because the song is older than the current borders - so they are all correct! The guitar imitates the South American Charango, the variety of guitar played in the Andes. here a recording for violin and guitar, this time performed in the Australian Rainforest, not in the Andes but the Blue Mountains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd4v09tPAek.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.917500 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by D. E. Mathers. 20th Century,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 5 pages. D. Eugene Mathers #4883305. Published by D. Eugene Mathers (A0.917500). This version makes for a highly evocative, poetic rendering of Silent Night, one equally useful as either recital number or church solo, or even as striking incidental music for theatrical production and readings. Lasting approximately three minutes, this arrangement reconfigures the carol's traditional musical idiom into a contemporary classical setting both captivating in poetic mood and unusually effective in its spatial and timbral design. The musical style may be considered Coplandesque in its use of widely spaced, pandiatonic sonorities.

Hamacando a las mellizas [clarinet quartet]

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596611 Composed by Juan MarÃa Solare. Blues,Children,Instructional,Jazz. 18 pages. Juan Maria Solare #6132589. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596611). Juan MarÃa Solare: Hamacando a las mellizas (Swinging Twins or Swinging the twins) a children blues for piano This work was born -precisely- while rocking (swinging) my twins Laura and Alma, as an improvised melody that accompanied their activity (or rather mine). From there to write it down there was only one step. As a second theme, it seemed appropriate to invert the melody, since twinhood implies a certain specular symmetry. Hamacando a las mellizas has the traditional structure of the twelve-bar blues, and a merry, innocent and carefree character. Hamacando a las mellizas was composed in Bremen (Germany) between June 21 and 23, 2020. Shortly afterwards, adaptations for a variety of instrumental combinations were written, such as - alto saxophone, double bass and piano (*) - clarinet, double bass and piano - violin and piano - clarinet quartet The version for clarinet quartet was premiered within the framework of the IV International Festival of Clarinets of San MartÃn de los Andes (Argentina), which took place online from November 12 to 15, 2020. Performers (from right to left): - Gabriel Blasberg (Buenos Aires) - Lorena Portilla (Saladillo, province of Buenos Aires) - Amelia Saftich (San MartÃn de los Andes, province of Neuquén) - Ximena Hegen (Inu) (Bariloche, province of RÃo Negro). - Video editing: Bernabé Arrighi https://youtu.be/UkcAALkVn88 (*) find this version in Spotify, Apple Music etc. from 1 January 2021.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1101463 Composed by Traditional Bolivian tinku. Arranged by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). Classical,Folk,Latin,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Octavo. 15 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #704839. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.1101463). Perfect for community or high school choirs! Exciting, accessible rhythmic piece in Spanish and Quechua, easy to pronounce, with foot-stomping! The tinku is a ritual fighting dance meant to draw blood to honor Pacha Mama (Mother Earth). Señora chichera is a popular Bolivian tinku that has catchy syncopation, raucous stomps, and lyrics in Spanish and Quechua, the language of the Incas. The verse in Quechua is curiously not a translation of the Spanish verse. The alcoholic drink mentioned in the song is chicha, a fermented corn drink enjoyed in the Andes for many centuries. This arrangement for mixed chorus and piano celebrates the song's tradition while exploring some typical Andean parallel harmonies that would horrify J. S. Bach.

The text in the indigenous language of Aymara comes from the poem âUmaâ written by Chilean poet Pedro Humire Loredo. Wari means vicuña, a native wild camelid species considered to be the ancestor of the domesticated alpaca. The harsh life of the Andes takes its toll on vicuña young, leaving behind grieving vicuña mothers. The Aymara people suffer similar losses and also cry for their lost loved ones. This yaravà lament includes expressive cadenza sections for both violin and cello, traditional key and rhythm, and a choral setting of Humireâs poignant poetry.

Bach: French Suite No. 5, BWV 816, for Saxophone Quartet

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406650 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 59 pages. Jmsgu3 #989408. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1406650). The importance of Bach's French Suites lies in their unique blend of French and Italian styles despite the misleading title. These suites, composed between 1722 and 1725 for the clavier, showcase Bach's mastery in stylizing traditional dances like allemandes, courantes, sarabandes, and gigues. While named French Suites by later sources like Johann Nikolaus Forkel, they follow Italian conventions with some French influences. The suites offer a rich musical experience, bridging different European styles and serving as valuable teaching pieces. Despite the misleading title, Bach's French Suites are a testament to his compositional genius and continue to be cherished by musicians and audiences alike. The history behind Bach's French Suites is intertwined with a bittersweet period in Bach's life. In May 1720, Bach embarked on a trip, leaving his wife, Maria Barbara, and four children. Tragically, upon his return, he discovered that Maria Barbara had passed away. This loss led to a significant change in Bach's personal life as he became a single father mourning his wife. Despite this tragedy, Bach found love again with Anna Magdalena Wülcken, whom he married. As a gesture of affection and to cultivate her musical skills, Bach composed music for Anna Magdalena, including what would later become the French Suites. These suites were likely performed at court and reflected the couple's intimate musical companionship. The French Suites were not published during Bach's lifetime, possibly because he did not deem it challenging enough. Today, these suites offer an accessible path to Bach's music and are cherished for their stylized dance movements inspired by French and Italian forms.

Jmsgu3 #124097. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.513333). J. S. Bach: French Suite No. 2 BWV 813 Duration: 11:21 Score: 16 pages. Contents: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Air, Menuet, Gigue.Johann Sebastian Bach is widely considered one of the greatest composers of all time. He was born in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany in 1685 and is best known for his mastery of the Baroque era of musical composition. One of Bach's most beloved works is the set of French Suites, which he composed in the years between 1722 and 1725. These suites consist of six movements, usually in the forms of allemandes, courantes, sarabandes, gigues, and minuets, which Bach filled with intricate ornamentation. The French Suites were highly influential to later composers, particularly those of the Classical and Romantic periods. Bach's inventiveness in the suites marked a new level of finesse and virtuosity in composition. He also demonstrated his ability to work with preexisting forms and conventions to create a unified and well-crafted whole. The French Suites continue to be performed around the world today, and they remain some of the best-known and most appreciated works.
